What Do You See?
KEY TEXTS: Matthew 6:22-23, Ezekiel 12:2, Numbers 13:1-3; 13:17-33
In this message we will get a check-up on our spiritual vision.
Perception is traditionally defined as the way in which something is regarded, understood, or interpreted.
A perspective, in turn, is defined as a particular attitude towards or way of regarding something; a point of view.
The problem is our perception is very limited, and our perspective can be very skewed. Our goal should be to allow the Spirit to expand our ability to perceive correctly and to allow the truth and presence of God in our lives to shape our perspectives. We need to see and understand things through the eyes of our Father.
We see the GIANTS but not the GRAPES
We see the PROBLEMS but not the PROMISED BLESSINGS
We see the MOUTAIN in front of us but not the GOD who created the mountains
We see the BATTLES but not the VICTORIES
We see the OBSTACLES but not the OPPORTUNITIES
We see the LOG but not the SPLINTER
We see the SIN but not the SINNER
We see those who are AGAINST US but not those who are FOR US
We see the STORM but not the ONE WHO CALMS THE STORM
We see our NEEDS but not the ONE WHO SUPPLIES our needs
We see HOW FAR WE HAVE TO GO but not HOW FAR WE’VE COME
