Surviving Dream Killers (Part 3)
Key Text: Genesis 39:1-23
God gave Joseph dreams, but before they would be fulfilled, Joseph had to survive the dream killers along the way.
It is important for us to understand that those initial dreams were not the only dreams that God had for Joseph’s life. Many other purposes, plans, promises, callings and giftings were being fulfilled along the way.
And that’s what dreams are… God’s purposes, His plans, His promises, His callings and His giftings for your life. In fact, one of the biggest dreams that God has for your life is for you to have a relationship with Him and to live out that relationship in everyday life… To be a woman of God, to be a man of God. That’s one thing we learn from Joseph’s life… Everywhere he went, everything he did, reflected his faith and his relationship with God. As a slave for Potiphar, in jail, when called by Pharoah, as a leader in Egypt, as a brother and a son.
We can’t get so caught up in trying to zero in on one particular dream (though that is important at times) that we miss all the purposes, plans, promises, callings and giftings that God has for us each and every day.
Today we will look at 4 more dream killers that Jospeh faced.
