Linus Blanket Project Small Group
We are a service based small group making blankets for children in Tucson. Currently, we have committed ourselves to making (18) all quilted blankets for the Diamond NICU. We meet every Friday morning (except for the 3rd Fri., see info below) in the CDO church Youth Modular from 9-12. Please bring your own materials to work on. New volunteers are always welcome to attend monthly meetings and learn more about Project Linus. Or for more information, please call Christene Hester 909-6818
Once a month Meeting: Our monthly (3rd Friday) meetings are held at SUNDT Construction building at 2015 W River Rd Ste 101 (across from Basha’s, East of La Cholla, South of River).
At the monthly meetings volunteers bring blankets from our drop-off points, and place them on tables. We gather the blankets in sizes appropriate to the needs of the various recipient facilities and stack them on tables; then bag them for delivery. A short business meeting is held. On three occasions throughout the year, volunteers bring a lunch and stay until about 3:00 to participate in a Work Party.
3rd Friday Night Prayer Meeting
As seekers of the glory of God, we believe our hunger for God will lead us to the holiness of God and to revival (visitation) of God. We are seeking God for hunger, Holiness and Revival through prayer. Join us every 3rd Friday night at 6:00 PM for a wonderful time of worship and prayer together. We meet in the Sanctuary.

On January 13, 1984, President Ronald Reagan issued a proclamation designating January 22 as the first National Sanctity of Human Life Day. (January 22, 1973, was the day the U.S. Supreme Court legalized abortion-on-demand in all 50 states.) Churches around the United States use the day to celebrate God’s gift of life, commemorate the many lives lost to abortion, and commit themselves to protecting human life at every stage.
Churches continue to recognize the third Sunday in January as Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. In 2019, the date will be January 20.
